The Tone:

This role is specifically centered on Generative AI and AI-related topics, providing an opportunity to contribute to advanced projects and present long-term solutions.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $25–$30 hourly (Undergraduates: $25/hour; Graduates: $30/hour)
• Mission: Drive significant business and customer experience impacts by developing solutions in Generative AI and AI.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop AI Solutions: Engage in projects focused on Generative AI and other AI-related topics, contributing to the creation of innovative solutions.
• Drive Business Impact: Present and deliver long-term solutions that will result in significant positive impacts on FedEx’s business operations and/or enhance the customer experience.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in various networking opportunities and community service events provided by the program.
• Support Team: Perform other assigned duties, contributing to team objectives and ensuring project progress in a professional environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) from a college/university, holding a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preferred degrees include Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline. Engineering degrees with Analytics and Data experience are also acceptable.
• Experience: No prior experience is required for this internship role.
• Skills: Solid understanding of Statistics, Data Structures, and Generative AI concepts. Working knowledge of Python. Knowledge of machine learning and AI algorithms, and understanding of large language models (LLMs).
• Bonus: Experience with JavaScript, PySpark, and working with big data.
