What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage Customers: Promptly approach and acknowledge customers, providing immediate assistance and efficiently managing interactions with multiple shoppers to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Guide Shoppers: Actively assess customer needs by sharing detailed product knowledge, accurately answering questions, directing them to specific merchandise, and offering tailored recommendations, including suggestive selling.
• Promote Offers: Inform customers about all current store events, ongoing promotions, and special in-store activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve Issues: Address any customer issues or concerns courteously and professionally, using comprehensive product knowledge to offer effective alternative solutions and convert potential returns into exchanges.
• Report Insights: Regularly and promptly communicate vital information to management, including merchandise restocking requirements, necessary service needs, and any significant customer feedback received.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be at least 16 years of age to be considered for this position.
• Experience: No specific prior retail or sales experience is required, as the role prioritizes a proven ability to learn and apply procedural knowledge through comprehensive on-the-job training.
• Skills: Strong communication skills are essential, enabling effective engagement with diverse customers. The ability to handle customer interactions and resolve potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally is also key. Additionally, candidates should possess basic information-gathering skills for problem-solving and be comfortable with, or willing to learn, retail technology such as cash registers, handheld devices, and mobile tools.
