About the Job: Counseling Student Intern
Terros Health is excited to announce an opportunity for Counseling Students to gain invaluable experience at assigned Boys and Girls Club of the Valley locations. This is an unpaid experiential learning internship designed for the next generation of behavioral health care providers.
We are actively seeking individuals currently enrolled in their Master’s Program with an emphasis in Counseling. We may also consider Bachelor’s Program interns who have a required internship as part of their educational curriculum.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
As a Counseling Student Intern, you will be working in partnership with Boys and Girls Club of the Valley branches, contributing to an inspired model of care based on a proven approach to trauma-healing treatment for club members K-12. While prior experience working with children is a plus, it is not required.
Under the direct supervision of a qualified Terros Health professional, the student-intern will:
- Perform tasks directly related to their specific area of study and the Intern learning Contract.
- Apply and further develop principles, theory, and knowledge from their related coursework in a highly professional healthcare setting provided by Terros Health.
- Gain experience in patient assessment skills and treatment interventions.
- Learn critical case coordination and team collaboration skills.
Upon successful completion of the program, the student will have:
- Learned how to make meaningful and impactful relationships with youth.
- Developed into a more skilled Clinician, better suited to serve our community.
- Demonstrated clinical skills essential for moving forward with academic and professional goals.
