What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead core service development: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs that power the platform.
• Collaborate on solutions: Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Drive architectural evolution: Contribute to the architectural evolution of the platform, identifying and implementing improvements in performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Ensure code quality and standards: Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards, while also mentoring junior engineers and providing code reviews.
• Maintain operational excellence: Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems, and evaluate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. A strong focus on backend systems and large-scale distributed architectures.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Skills: Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, Go, or C#; deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and software design patterns. Extensive experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues and excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Bonus: Master’s degree or Ph.D.; experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka); familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform); experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark); contributions to open-source projects or prior experience mentoring junior engineers.
