Reliability Engineer, Entry-Level

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an Entry-Level Reliability Engineer to join their team in Urbandale, Iowa. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in industrial automation and reliability.

Duties:

• Perform routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of automated equipment such as: PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, conveyors, sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and instrumentation.
• Rapidly diagnose breakdowns, implement corrective actions, and document failures to prevent repeat events.
• Assist in commissioning, calibration, and testing of new or upgraded automation systems under direction.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and control drawings.
• Use hand tools and electrical test equipment (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, etc.) safely and effectively.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 0+ years experience; internships and co-ops count as relevant experience.
• Relevant technical experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or controls gained through experience or education.
• Basic familiarity with PLC platforms, HMIs, and ladder logic concepts.
• Practical experience or coursework with electrical components, motors, sensors, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Comfortable using diagnostic/test equipment and following electrical/mechanical schematics.

Pay Range:

The approximate pay range for this position starts at $60,000 – $68,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
