Lead Wind Technician – Gamesa Experience (Minnesota)

We’re looking for a skilled Lead Wind Technician with strong exposure to Gamesa turbine platforms to join a growing team in Minnesota. This is a direct-hire role with a stable and expanding O&M provider, financially backed by a major institution, offering both security and career growth.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Troubleshoot, service, and maintain Gamesa turbines (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems).
  • Perform preventive & corrective maintenance and monitor turbine performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Execute LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) procedures, including critical tasks like transformer and pad-mounted switching.
  • Lead and mentor technician crews on daily operations, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Manage inspections, detailed documentation, and compliance work using Maximo or similar CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

What you bring:

  • High School diploma or GED minimum (technical certifications are a significant plus).
  • Proven, hands-on experience on Gamesa turbine platforms is essential.
  • Broad knowledge of turbine technologies across multiple OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting expertise.
  • Ability to safely climb 300+ ft towers and work effectively in all weather conditions.
