Assembler / Sequencer – 1st Shift

Job Summary

The Assembler or Sequencer position involves operating production line equipment, finishing products, and reporting any equipment or station issues directly to a supervisor. This role includes repetitive lifting, twisting, and bending within a factory setting and offers hands-on, day-to-day technical interaction within automotive manufacturing.

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting Pay: $17.50 per hour
• Work Schedule:
  • Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:15 PM
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 3:15 PM

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assemble goods on production lines following applicable work instructions.
• Carry out basic quality and testing checks.
• Adhere to Company’s philosophies and values at all times.
• Maintain a safe work environment through good housekeeping in work areas and equipment.
• Follow safe work practices at all times.
• Monitor the production process and collaborate with the team to achieve production goals.
• Ensure all production and quality systems are followed at all times.
• Communicate and act on information to enable the team to make appropriate decisions for necessary improvements.
• Support the team in meeting customer expectations.
• Feed raw materials into production machinery.
• Store goods and raw materials properly in the warehouse.
• Use lifting equipment to fulfill orders.
• Pack goods to be shipped.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Travel

• Travel Required: No

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to effectively interact with people.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time (8-9 hours a day).
• Flexibility to work any shift.
• Willingness to work weekends when volunteered for or required.
• Highly motivated with an interest in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated history of safe work practices.
• Team player, flexible and adaptable to change.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be willing to work close to other employees at some stations (less than 3 feet apart).
• Good communication skills.
• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.

Physical Conditions And Requirements

This role involves physical demands consistent with a factory setting, including repetitive movements, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. The ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for 8-9 hours a day is required. Team members must be comfortable working in close proximity to others at certain stations.
