Structural Modeler Intern – ERA Structural Engineering

Structural Modeler Intern

Brief Description:

ERA seeks motivated and detail-oriented Structural Modeler Interns to join our team. This will be a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in a professional, team-oriented environment. We are looking for a motivated student with strong Revit and conceptual skills, eager to learn and contribute to complex structural engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate actively with the structural engineering team to thoroughly understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Assist in the creation and development of accurate and detailed structural models using industry-standard software, primarily AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ensure that all structural models meticulously adhere to established design standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct rigorous quality checks on the models to proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to seamlessly integrate structural models with other disciplines, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive technical reports, detailed drawings, and essential documentation related to structural models.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in structural modeling to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

Hours

  • Type: Full-Time non-exempt internship, 40 hours per week.
  • In-Person Core Office Hours:
    • Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Friday Flex: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Architectural Design or a related engineering field.
  • Proficient in structural modeling software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and possessing a solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with solid time management abilities.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
