Summer 2026 Internship Snapshot

  • Program Duration: Full-time (40 hours/week) from May 20 to August 14, 2026.
  • Location: 100% on-site at New Era Cap’s Headquarters (HQ) building in downtown Buffalo, NY.

  • Hourly Rate: $17/hr (pertains to candidates located in Western New York).

The Opportunity at Hand: Quality Assurance Intern

The Quality Assurance Intern will be an integral member of the North American Quality Assurance team, contributing significantly by assisting with compliance data management, North America customer returns, and quality management within our global supply chain.

Key Projects & Tasks

  • Learn about global restricted substance requirements, raw materials testing, global cap and apparel manufacturing, 3rd party final product inspections, and essential quality systems.
  • Participate in pre-production meetings with design, sourcing, and production teams on major licensed programs (e.g., MLB, NFL, WNBA, NBA).
  • Assist with raw material testing and final inspection data management and analysis.
  • Support global quality initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with overseas production vendors and New Era Cap (NEC) regional teams.
  • Analyze monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to assist global vendors in identifying and implementing corrective actions to improve monthly quality performance.
  • Create additional manuals, guides, and work instructions for our global vendor base and domestic DC partners.
  • Organize and maintain quality documents through new document control measures.
  • Inspect customer returns and learn how to properly investigate for fault.
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential.
  • Undertake other projects as assigned.

  • Bonus Experience: Experience with SAP and PLM is a plus.

Education And Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program within Quality Management, Sourcing, Product Development, or a related field.
