Location: Hannaford, ND

Internship Period: Summer 2026 (potential to start as early as Spring 2026 and extend through the summer, depending on business needs and availability).

Key Responsibilities:
As an Agronomy Operations Intern, you will be actively involved in various aspects of our operations, including:

  • Gaining comprehensive knowledge of general agronomy skills, such as crop scouting, understanding crop protection products, familiarizing yourself with crop nutrient products, seed varieties, custom application procedures, mixing procedures, truck driving, and efficient product delivery.
  • Performing all assigned agronomy and seed operations, contributing directly to the daily functioning of our facilities.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the quality of inventory to ensure product integrity and availability.
  • Regulating and performing periodic housecleaning processes, along with meticulous record-keeping, to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Assisting with repairs and preventative maintenance for a wide range of agronomy equipment, including legs, conveyors, towers, vehicles, sprayers, floaters, and trucks.
  • Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their needs and inquiries.
  • Working within and maintaining an environment that is fully compliant with state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policies.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture-related degree program.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.

Compensation & Benefits:
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation for this position includes a base wage, and depending upon the specific position and performance, may include other earnings such such as bonus, incentives, or commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, and minimum wage/salary requirements under local law. If eligibility requirements are met, you may also participate in our 401(k) retirement plan.
