Job Title: Paid Internship Program (Seniors & Recent Graduates)

Program Overview:
APCO is seeking seniors and recent graduates to join its full-time, paid internship program. Interns are integral members of the team, treated as professional staff, participating in team meetings, and actively contributing ideas. The program aims to amplify APCO’s presence across digital and traditional platforms by involving interns in graphic design, content creation, campaign execution, and market research.
Location:
This internship will be based in APCO’s Washington D.C. office.
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will actively contribute to the Marketing Design team and provide general production support, including:
- Assisting the Marketing Design team with multiple creative projects.
- Photo sourcing and retouching.
- Incorporating edits to print and digital projects (e.g., one-pagers and social media graphics).
- Preparing and editing PowerPoint presentations and Word documents.
- File management and archiving.
- Monitoring issues, news events, and competitor happenings.
- Researching topics and issues and analyzing findings.
- Helping with social media research and creation of social media content.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Portfolio that demonstrates expertise in design, typography, composition, and color.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.).
- Candidates must be team players with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work against tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated interest in marketing, communications, or journalism.
- Requires US Work Authorization; candidates with CPT/OPT/Post-OPT status cannot be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in an agency or in-house creative team.
- Knowledge of project management software.
- Knowledge of wireframing, prototyping, HTML/CSS.
Work Schedule & Environment:
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Work Model: Hybrid and flexible working environment. There will be days for remote work and days for in-office collaboration to foster culture and team connection.
- Equipment: A company laptop will be provided for seamless work from both home and office.
Compensation:
This is a paid internship at a fixed hourly rate of $17.95.
Key Dates:
- Application Closing Date: Friday, February 27th.
- Internship Commencement Date: Tuesday, June 16th.
- Internship End Date: Friday, December 11th, 2026.
