Job Summary:
Our growing company is seeking bright, motivated college students and recent college graduates to join our comprehensive Internship Program. This program is designed to provide participants with an array of hands-on experiences and a deep dive into various facets of the landscape industry, preparing them for a successful career in the field. This is a full-time, paid position with the flexibility to accommodate interns at most branch locations nationwide.

Program Highlights & Responsibilities:
The Yellowstone Landscape Internship Program is meticulously designed with your professional development in mind. You will be exposed to diverse aspects of the landscape industry through a structured, rotating schedule.

  • Diverse Experiences: Gain practical experience in key areas including:
    • Management principles and practices
    • Landscape construction techniques
    • Specialized tree care
    • Irrigation systems and management
    • Fertilization strategies
    • Pest control methods
    • Plant identification
    • Effective crew management
  • Personalized Learning Path: A rotating schedule and clear learning objectives are defined prior to your start, allowing the Branch Manager, Intern Mentor, and you to collaborate in developing a program that best suits your interests and aligns with the needs of the branch.
  • Dedicated Mentorship: You will be paired with an experienced Account Manager (Mentor) who will serve as your primary supervisor. Your Mentor will provide continuous support, share their management philosophy, and guide you in developing your own leadership and management style. They will be a constant resource for questions, concerns, and invaluable feedback throughout the program.
  • Professional Development: We prioritize your growth through:
    • Outside Activities: Participation in activities designed to enhance your exposure to the broader horticultural environment.
    • Networking Opportunities: Building connections with industry professionals and peers.
    • Speaker’s Forum: Engaging with relevant topics presented by company leaders and industry experts to further your professional development.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate with a major in one of the following fields:
    • Plant Science
    • Horticultural Sciences
    • Agriculture
    • Landscape Management
    • Urban Forestry
    • Agricultural Mechanization
    • Construction
    • Design or Architecture
    • Business
  • Demonstrated interest in learning all aspects of the landscape industry.
  • Possess a “can-do” attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
