Are you passionate about building Artificial Intelligence that delivers real-world impact? Join T-Mobile’s dynamic AI Agents team for the summer. You will be immersed in developing solutions for real products that millions of customers use daily. This role involves:
• Designing and Building Intelligent Agents: Focus on customer support and sales functions.
• Tackling Business Problems: Work with actual business challenges and real data.
• Seeing Direct Impact: Witness the immediate results of your creations.
• Owning Initiatives: Drive projects from inception to completion, directly shaping how millions of customers interact with T-Mobile.
What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
As an AI Agents Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing T-Mobile’s customer interactions by:
• Building and Iterating: Develop 1-2 AI Agent(s) within T-Mobile’s IntentCX program, aiming to significantly improve either customer support or sales functions.
• Cross-Modality Development: Build agents for both chat and voice interactions, leveraging OpenAI’s chat and real-time voice models.
• Targeted Focus: Concentrate on customer service (answering questions, integrating customer data) OR on optimizing T-Mobile’s product sales strategies.
• API Integration: Integrate T-Mobile’s proprietary APIs directly into the context/prompt of your AI Agent(s).
• Framework Integration: Seamlessly integrate your AI Agent(s) into IntentCX’s multi-agent framework.
• Platform Integration: Connect your AI Agent(s) with T-Mobile’s existing customer touchpoints, including the T-Life app, company website, or customer support phone number.
• Direct Impact: Your work will directly influence hundreds of thousands of customer interactions every single day!
What It Takes: Skills & Qualifications
To thrive in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess:
Technical Skills:
• Coding Experience: Proficiency in coding, with Python typically being key for AI development.
• API Understanding: A solid grasp of how APIs function and interact.
• Data & ML Basics: Familiarity with data analysis or fundamental machine learning concepts.
• Large Datasets: Comfort and experience working with extensive datasets.
• LLMs & Chatbots: Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or chatbot frameworks is highly valued.
Soft Skills & Mindset:
• Problem-Solving Mindset: The ability to identify actual customer needs and translate them into effective technological solutions, rather than just building “cool tech.”
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to articulate technical work and concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Capability to work effectively with product, engineering, and business teams.
• Comfort with Ambiguity: A readiness to navigate projects where clear-cut answers are rare, especially in AI development.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Age: At least 18 years of age.
• Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Must be actively enrolled in a degree program or have graduated within the last year.
• Ineligibility: Current employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are not eligible for this Internship program.
• Visa Sponsorship: Employers does not sponsor work visas for this position. This also applies to individuals who are F-1 status students seeking sponsorship after completing their education.
Compensation & Logistics:
• Intern Wages: Range from $26/hour to $47/hour, with actual pay based on experience and location.
• Relocation: Relocation reimbursement may be provided to program participants residing more than 50 miles from the internship location.
