Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
As an Operations Intern, you will be immersed in the day-to-day workings of our facilities, with responsibilities designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience:
- Provide invaluable support to the operations team, assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth production flow.
- Actively engage in learning and understanding effective and efficient operational practices within a robust culture of continuous improvement.
- Shadow experienced professionals to learn how to maintain rigorous production practices that underpin and support the facility’s critical food safety program.
- Gain hands-on experience in monitoring product quality and overseeing production operations to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Understand the principles of how to foster an inclusive environment where all team members are encouraged to be active participants and genuinely involved in the business.
- Recognize and celebrate team and individual successes, contributing to a positive and motivating work atmosphere.
- Learn to challenge people constructively, inspiring them to achieve their full potential and be better than they thought possible.
- Shadow supervisors and managers to identify and analyze problems or bottlenecks in production processes, and learn effective strategies to resolve issues promptly. This includes ensuring all production resources (materials, equipment, and human resources) are available as needed to maintain product schedules and supporting continuous improvement goals across safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
- Develop skills in understanding how to implement and evaluate a practical solution to fix identified problems or bottlenecks.
- Actively engage in creating meaningful relationships with hourly team members, understanding their perspectives and contributions.
- Shadow production supervisors closely to learn their day-to-day operations, decision-making processes, and leadership challenges.
- Gain foundational knowledge in how to anticipate and determine the causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate, proactive actions to meet production schedules.
- Complete and present a capstone project related to specific issues or opportunities within the operations department, culminating your internship experience with a practical business solution.

Qualifications
We are seeking motivated and capable individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Food Science, etc.).
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, as some roles may require physical activity in a production environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are highly valued.
Compensation
The successful applicant for this position will be eligible for the following competitive compensation package:
- An attractive hourly rate of $21/hour.
- A generous $2,500 relocation stipend to assist with housing and moving expenses for the duration of the internship.
Pre-employment Requirements
The Company is deeply dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all our team members and visitors. To assist in achieving that goal, we conduct comprehensive drug, alcohol, and background checks for all new team members post-offer and prior to the start of employment.
