SECU Summer Internship Program 2026

About the Program:

SECU is seeking qualified college students to join our enriching 2026 Summer Internship Program. This program offers significant learning opportunities through engagement in day-to-day projects within specific departments at SECU, providing comprehensive exposure to the credit union and banking industry as a whole.

Our internship is designed to offer:

• Real-World Experience: Immerse yourself in the daily operations of Maryland’s largest credit union, gaining practical insights and applying academic knowledge to solve real challenges.
• Innovative Projects: Contribute to projects that drive innovation within the banking industry. Your ideas and fresh perspectives will be highly valued and encouraged.

Program Duration and Schedule:

The Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026.
Interns are required to work 32+ hours per week during the core business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a rising junior or senior currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
• Possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Pursuing a degree with a focus in business, finance, accounting, marketing, economics, information technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be highly motivated and energetic.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Compensation:

Depending on the specific internship need, the hourly rate will range between $17 – $19.
