### The Internship Experience: A Taste of What You’ll Do

Immerse yourself in the heart of innovation in grape cultivation, winemaking, and distillation with Gallo’s prestigious internship program. This is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about winemaking and spirits distillation, offering a five- to six-month immersive experience at one of our production sites, beginning in early to mid-summer and extending through the harvest into late fall of 2026.

As an intern, you will:
• Gain invaluable hands-on experience in crafting world-class wines and spirits.
Collaborate with industry experts to support essential production practices and pioneering research projects.
• Receive comprehensive technical training and professional development.
• Contribute to various corporate initiatives and research projects.
Lead your own research project, culminating in a presentation to our management team.

#### Research Winemaking Interns – ALL LOCATIONS AVAILABLE

Locations: Modesto, Livingston, and Healdsburg, CA

As a Research Winemaking Intern, you will assist in all aspects of small-lot wine production across our research wineries:
Modesto: 10-gallon scale production.
Livingston: 600-gallon scale production.
Healdsburg: 600-gallon scale production.

Our research facilities produce over 500 table, sparkling, and dessert wines per season, supporting statewide research programs. You will work hands-on in every step of the winemaking process, from grape crush to bottling, experiencing a wide variety of wine styles, types (white & red table, sparkling & dessert wines), dozens of grape varieties, and various processing and winemaking methods from different California winegrowing regions.

What You Will Do:
• Participate in grape receiving, crushing, and pressing.
• Perform fermentation monitoring, filtration, ingredient additions, and post-fermentation treatments.
• Assist with bench, pilot, and plant scale experiments, including meticulous data recording and documentation.
• Participate in wine tasting and sensory evaluation.

### What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

Required:
• Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, OR have obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the following areas: School of Life Sciences, School of Agricultural Sciences, or School of Engineering. (Business or social sciences degrees such as Ag Business, Psychology, etc., are not eligible for this internship.)
Available for the entire duration of the internship program (July – December 2026).
Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. A motor vehicle check (MVR) will be conducted. If needed, the appropriate state driver’s license must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to travel to and from varying winery locations up to 10% of the time.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. when necessary.
• Ability to work at heights of 50 feet, on tops of tanks inspecting wine surfaces, when necessary.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Strong applied technical skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Compensation Factors: Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participation in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
Onsite Work: This position is based in the location(s) specified and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
Posting Duration: Job postings are open to internal candidates for a minimum of 5 days and to external candidates, if applicable, for a minimum of 3 days.
