Our Summer Intern Program offers a great opportunity to engage collaboratively with our teams to create technical capabilities and build new tools while having fun with a cohort of other interns! BlackLynx is looking for motivated interns to develop skills applicable to real-life products at both our Chantilly and Rockville, MD locations.
Founded in 2018, BlackLynx has brought together Subject Matter Experts across 3 product lines that serve emerging commercial and Intelligence Community (IC) needs.
Internship Opportunities
We have several specialized teams seeking talented interns:
Modeling and Simulation Team (Chantilly, VA)
- Seeking aerospace/software engineers to help test and deploy a full stack instance of custom tool suite to model next generation capabilities.
- Primary language: Python based development.
- Learn from Intelligence Community (IC) experts in a fast-paced environment.
Spacecraft Design Team (Rockville, MD)
- Seeking ADCS/aerospace engineers to help develop an inhouse product focused on ADCS/GNC simulation, orbital mechanics, and space phenomena.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is beneficial.
- Join a dynamic team to work with embedded systems and software.
Sensor Processing Team (Rockville, MD)
- Seeking computer scientists, computer, and electrical engineers to help develop and test next generation software and electronic hardware systems.
- Applications include: AI, signal processing, circuit card design, FPGA-based digital logic design, and embedded software.
- Learn from IC community experts in a fast-paced environment.

This paid internship is a full-time, temporary position compensated by the hour.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Onsite in Chantilly, VA or Rockville, MD
- Must be in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited program with an anticipated graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
