Wealth Management Intern – Summer 2026 Internship Program

We are currently accepting applications for our Summer 2026 Internship Class at our Corporate Headquarters in Glens Falls, New York. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated and ambitious college students to gain hands-on experience in the financial industry, develop skills, and explore career opportunities in banking and financial services.
About the Internship Program
- Program Name: Summer 2026 Internship Program
- Duration: 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours per week)
- Dates: May 18, 2026 to August 7, 2026
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour
- Location: Corporate Headquarters, Glens Falls, New York
- Overview: Our paid internship program provides comprehensive exposure to key areas of our business. Interns will actively participate in hands-on projects, networking events, community service, and mentorship opportunities, gaining a deeper understanding of the banking industry and its operational intricacies.
About the Role: Wealth Management Intern
The Wealth Management internship will provide valuable exposure to the operational side of wealth management. This role offers unique opportunities to contribute to enhancing internal workflows and supporting the smooth transition to an upgraded record-keeping system. The intern will be integral in reviewing and streamlining internal processes to improve efficiency across various operations, and will also develop educational materials for clients and team members to support ongoing financial education and product knowledge.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare and file Form 5500 extensions, which are requests for additional time to file annual reports for employee benefit plans, such as 401(k)s.
- Update and maintain participant records in the record-keeping system, collaborating with team members to convert our record-keeping platform.
- Digitize and organize plan documentation, and prepare client reports on plan performance and participation.
- Gather document requests for 401(k) plan audits.
- Attend and participate in team meetings to understand planning and decision-making processes, gain insights into team dynamics, and exposure to various Wealth Management functions and organizational processes.
- Attend a continuing education event, a branch visit, and participate in a community service opportunity to promote corporate social responsibility.
- Attend weekly meetings to collaborate with interns from other departments within the company to share knowledge, build power skills, and share experiences in the program.
- Participate in a final presentation at the conclusion of the program, showcasing your learning and contributions to the Executive Leadership team.

What We Are Looking For
Qualifications:
- College students who are eager to learn and take initiative in a professional setting.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Data Analysis).
- Ability to effectively learn and utilize department-specific systems and software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple tasks and projects; consistently meet established deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidentially, clearly, professionally, and confidently with internal partners, management, and other stakeholders.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to repetitively use a telephone, computer mouse, and keyboard for extended durations.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment.
