Job Overview:

Lakeview Loan Servicing, LLC is actively seeking motivated Capital Markets Interns to join our Loan Originations group. This unique opportunity offers a hands-on experience, allowing interns to work directly with seasoned Capital Markets professionals. You will gain invaluable real-world exposure to the intricate processes of how mortgage loans are priced, managed, and delivered in today’s dynamic market.

Throughout this internship, you will build practical experience in:

• Mortgage asset pricing
• Margin strategy
• Interest rate hedging
• Pooling and delivery of mortgage assets
• Business Intelligence, including data analysis and reporting
• Understanding Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) and their critical role in affordable housing initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation of rate sheet pricing and actively participate in bidding on mandatory bulk loan tapes.
• Gain a deep understanding of how pricing components are structured and how interest rate risk is actively managed within the mortgage market.
• Observe and learn the complete loan pooling and delivery process.
• Become educated on the significant role Housing Finance Agencies (HFA) play in the affordable housing system.
• Actively participate in data mining, analyzing complex data, and building insightful reports to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Possess a foundational knowledge of financial markets, various investment products, and core economic principles.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret complex data.
• Exhibit clear, professional verbal and written communication skills, crucial for collaborating with a team and stakeholders.
