The Opportunity

CACI is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join its Aerospace Solutions Group in San Antonio, TX, supporting the ATSSI Program. As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience by working on Test Program Set (TPS) development as part of a dedicated team of aviation test developers. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in multi-disciplinary engineering tasks from concept through delivery, contributing to real-world aviation test equipment projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support Test Program Set (TPS) development by assisting with aviation test equipment projects from concept through delivery, learning product life cycle management.
  • Collaborate with test system development teams on various tasks, including:
    • Operational and functional requirements definition.
    • Software applications development at both system and component levels.
    • Hardware architecture design, development, and testing.
    • Requirements verification and validation processes.
  • Assist with electrical circuit design and layout planning to ensure test requirements are met and proper interfaces between test equipment and units under test (UUT) are established.
  • Participate in customer interactions regarding development efforts under mentor supervision.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future (required for security clearance eligibility).
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree.
  • Demonstrated coursework or project experience with programming languages such as C, C#, or Python.
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical circuit design principles.
  • A strong interest in hardware and software integration.
  • Exposure to lab equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and/or power supplies (gained through coursework or projects).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay Range and Benefits

The proposed salary range for this position is $39,400 – $75,900.

Factors influencing final salary include geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
