Compensation
$26.50/hour
Location & Schedule
- This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule or onsite in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy.
- Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.
- Flexibility: Options to work onsite and hybrid are available and accommodating to school schedules.
- Housing assistance is available for onsite interns in Topeka.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Conduct strategic analyses.
- Monitor industry trends relative to BCBSKS positioning.
- Gather quantitative and qualitative data from numerous sources.
- Synthesize expert interviews into actionable recommendations.
- Maintain intelligence repositories.
- Visualize data and trends effectively.
- Assist with various strategic research requests.
- Communicate recommendations via written reports.
What You Need (Requirements & Skills)
Education & Enrollment
- Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts program with at least 1 year of study.
- Majors accepted include: business administration, economics, finance, data analytics, or a related field.
- Requires a minimum GPA of 2.75.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Self-motivated: Ability to carry out activities with a minimum of supervision.
- Problem-solving: Ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces that can be solved with data and analysis.
- Strategic Frameworks: Ability to organize and analyze information using strategic frameworks such as SWOT, PESTLE, or PrOACT.
- Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial statements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Data Tools: Ability to use tools like Excel and/or PowerBI to analyze data trends and insights.
- Information Synthesis: Skilled in gathering information from diverse sources and distilling it into strategic recommendations.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
