This role is located at Lockheed Martin’s RMS business area in Moorestown, NJ, where we are working on many exciting defense programs and developing cutting-edge products and applications to meet the complex and evolving needs of our customers.

The Mission (About the Role)

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer – Intern. The Engineer will be integral in executing systems and software engineering processes. This encompasses activities from high-level system requirements, product requirements allocation, and product software design, all the way through software implementation, integration, and verification.

Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas

  • Execute systems and software engineering processes.
  • Contribute to product requirements allocation and software design.
  • Assist with software implementation, integration, and verification.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
    • Computer Engineering
    • Software Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electrical Computer Engineering
  • Experience with using at least one of the following programming languages:
    • C/C++
    • Java
    • Python

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in requirements modeling, use case development, and requirements management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with LINUX or UNIX operating systems.
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Crucible, Confluence) or Gitlab.

Important Information & Requirements

  • This position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week, while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Base Salary Range:

  • For California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC: $53,227 – $70,708
  • For most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: $61,485 – $70,708
  • For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
