Summer 2026 Internship Opportunity: Operations Summer Associate

We are looking for dedicated Summer Associates to help us meet the surging demand for our services. This challenging and rewarding position is open to ALL majors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers professionally, understanding their needs, and providing advice on HVAC equipment rental options. Promptly handle inquiries and resolve customer concerns.
  • Equipment Rental: Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately in our software system. Responsibly load and unload delivery vans. Deliver and install equipment at customer locations. (Installations are simple, but may require climbing a 5-ft ladder at times.)
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre- and post-rental equipment inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation. Report any equipment damage or maintenance requirements to the Branch Manager.

Safety and Compliance:

  • A clean driving record is required.
  • Must be 21 years of age before May 1st for insurance purposes.
  • No special driver’s license is required to operate our vans.
  • Adherence to company safety procedures in handling equipment and compliance with all OSHA guidelines on the job is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and push equipment and perform physical tasks associated with portable HVAC equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions, including hot temperatures.
  • Long work days may be required during periods of peak demand. We work hard when our customers need us most, as our services are crucial. (Overtime pay is provided for any hours over 40 per week.)

Salary & Earnings Potential:

This is a fast-paced operational role, not a sales position, with significant overtime potential. Your summer earnings will be excellent with a full schedule.

  • Hourly Rate: $20/hour
  • Performance Bonus Target: $5,000 paid at the end of the season.
  • Previous summer interns have made approximately $30,000 total working May 1st through August 31st.

Schedule:

  • Typical Work Week: 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday, with a lunch break.
  • On-Call Rotation: You will be on call every other week. On-call means being available for emergency AC deliveries after 5 PM or on weekends.
  • Average Hours: You can expect to work 50-60 hours per week on average.
  • Off-Call Weeks: On the weeks when you are NOT on call, you can confidently plan evening and weekend activities.

  • We offer relocation reimbursement (amount varies based on location).
  • We provide a housing stipend of $500 per month for our interns.
