About the Role & Team
Working within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to enhance your classroom-acquired skills by effectively balancing the priorities of various engineering teams and projects. This role involves significant cross-functional collaboration with diverse departments, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Sales, Materials, and Management.
The work environment is dynamic and will require willingness to spend time in a:
- Manufacturing setting
- Lab/testing environment
- Office setting
Your responsibilities will encompass a blend of both individual tasks and collaborative group projects.
Team Projects May Include:
- Design Engineering:
- Create 3D models and drawings for tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing.
- Work alongside experienced design professionals.
- Gain exposure to 3D printing and automation design.
- Advanced Manufacturing:
- Contribute to process improvement, audits, and manufacturing development projects.
- Gain experience with data analysis, lab prototyping equipment, and design software for real-world applications.
- Process & Equipment Development:
- Assist with new product launches, plant layouts, and equipment implementation.
- Apply Lean principles.
- Participate in PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Help qualify manufacturing processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong interest in manufacturing, process improvement, or product design.
- Demonstrated skills or coursework in areas such as CAD/3D modeling, machining, data analysis, Lean/continuous improvement, or automation.
- Anticipated Graduation of May 2027.
