### Responsibilities

As an SRE Intern on the Compute Platform team, you will be responsible for:

• Reliability of Data Warehouse Products: Ensuring the reliability of all TikTok’s major data warehouse products, services, and query engines, such as ClickHouse, Spark, Presto, Doris, etc.
• Uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Ensuring that all service level objectives and agreements from ByteDance’s Data Platform services are met. Promptly responding to any system outages or issues.
• Continuous Performance Optimization: Analyzing service performance and reliability patterns to identify potential performance bottlenecks. Implementing proactive measures to prevent service disruptions and working with development teams to optimize application performance, ensuring efficient service operation and effective resource utilization.
• Incident Management: Leading efforts to troubleshoot and resolve service incidents and postmortems. Coordinating with cross-functional teams to manage and mitigate service-impacting events.
• Infrastructure Automation: Automating infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management processes to reduce manual interventions and improve service quality.
• Collaboration: Engaging with product and development teams to integrate reliability and performance considerations into the software lifecycle.

#### Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Availability: Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• Core Technical Understanding: In-depth understanding of Linux, computer networking, and databases.
• Tooling Proficiency: Proficient in common SRE/DevOps open-source toolsets, system monitoring tools, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

#### Compensation

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $45 – $45.

#### Benefits
