Job Title: Summer 2026 Intern Information Systems Security Officer/ISSO
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Facility requiring special access)
Internship Term: Summer 2026

Role Summary:
As a Summer 2026 Intern Information Systems Security Officer/ISSO at Lockheed Martin Aero in Fort Worth, TX, you will engage with experienced Information Systems Security Managers and gain hands-on experience in the Classified Cyber Security organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how the Risk Management Framework is applied to protect and defend vital information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
• Develop documentation for information system authorization.
• Engage with experienced Information Systems Security Managers.
• Learn how the Classified Cyber Security organization applies the Risk Management Framework to protect and defend information systems.

Basic Qualifications (Required):
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Cyber Defense.
• Possess a DoD 8570 certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Sec+, CAP).
• Experience and/or knowledge of Windows Operating systems and/or IT and Cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Experience in designing, developing, and integrating computer systems and networks in compliance with government regulations.

Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) or Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) requirements.
• Familiarity with National Institute of Standards (NIST) Security and Privacy controls and requirements.
• Proficiency at executing security hardening requirements on diverse LINUX and Windows Operating Systems based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs.

Salary Information (Annual Base Salary Range):
For California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC: $31,616 – $77,788.
For most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: $36,504 – $77,788.
• For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
Note: Salary information is a general guideline. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Washington State Applicants Only (Non-represented full-time employees):
• Accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons.
• Receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
• (Represented full-time employees): Accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
