Position: Advisory Intern
Responsibilities
As an Advisory Intern, you will play a supportive role in our client engagements, focusing on:
- Assisting clients with various aspects of Finance strategy, operational performance, and process improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the engagement team in conducting analysis of finance process areas, including financial planning & analysis, financial close and consolidation, management reporting, and operational finance. This involves an emphasis on developing and solutioning process, technology, data, and organizational designs.
- Contributing to effective and thorough research, data gathering, and analysis across finance and accounting functional areas.
- Composing logical and structured input for written deliverables and presentation materials.
Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Finance, Data & Analytics.
- OR pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting, Data and Analytics, Business Administration, or an equivalent program.
- Must maintain a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated quality service mindset.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and Outlook).
- General understanding of data analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management and leadership skills.
- Flexible and adaptable team player, resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
Additional Requirements:
- Applicant must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance.
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position.
- Responsible for your own transportation (personal vehicle or public transportation) to get to and from office/client locations.
- Work location may vary between the office, client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
- Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. (KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa).
