The Test Intern roles are categorized into two specialized areas:

Hardware Test Intern:
In this role, you will focus on the rigorous verification of electronic hardware. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing detailed test requirements.
- Executing comprehensive hardware verification test plans for:
- Board-level functional testing.
- EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) validation.
- Compliance with Certification Agencies (UL, ATEX, IECEX).
- Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508).
- Performing programming, in-depth analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware prototypes.
- Contributing to essential product design documentation and detailed test reports.

Firmware Test Intern:
If you are passionate about pushing products to their limits to meet the stringent standards of industrial components, this role is for you. Key activities will involve:
- Designing and developing robust scripts for automating test procedures.
- Documenting comprehensive test procedures.
- Executing test procedures (both manual and automated) to rigorously verify product functionality.
- Creating clear and concise test reports.
- Assisting with lab audit and continuous improvement activities.
- Supporting the build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms.
Key Responsibilities (Combined Overview):
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for hardware and/or firmware.
- Perform programming, analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic prototypes.
- Design and develop automation scripts for test procedures.
- Document test procedures and create detailed test reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications (e.g., EMC, UL, ATEX, IECEX, IEC 61508).
- Contribute to product design documentation.
- Assist with lab maintenance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the build and commissioning of test platforms.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar relevant field from an accredited college or university.
- Programming Skills: Basic proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or LabVIEW.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, and programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs).
- Relevant Experience:
- Experience with Power Electronics or motors.
- Experience with design capture tools and working with schematic drawings.
- Familiarity with engineering and enterprise tools such as CAD, Creo Parametric, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), 3D Modeling, SAP, or Matlab.
- Experience with industrial automation environments, including PLC or drives programming.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology.
Compensation:
The compensation for this challenging and rewarding internship role is competitive, ranging from $22 to $32 per hour.
