Job Title: Learning & Development Intern

Job Summary

Kairos Power is actively seeking a curious and highly motivated Learning & Development Intern to play a crucial role in supporting the design and delivery of impactful learning experiences. This is an excellent opportunity within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. The role is perfectly suited for a student with a keen interest in organizational development, leadership development, adult learning, or HR strategy.

As an intern, you will work collaboratively with both the Learning & Development and People Operations teams on real-world projects that directly contribute to the growth and effectiveness of leaders and employees across the company. This is a truly hands-on internship experience, where you will actively assist in building, testing, and continuously improving various learning programs alongside our team of experienced practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support for the design and rollout of leadership and manager development programs, including specialized programs tailored for first-time managers.
  • Assist in the creation of diverse learning content, such as facilitator guides, practical toolkits, essential job aids, and engaging microlearning resources.
  • Help organize, meticulously update, and diligently maintain learning pathways and content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Collect and rigorously analyze learner feedback and engagement data to support the continuous improvement and evolution of our learning programs.
  • Contribute to the development of performance management enablement tools, including resources for effective goal setting, constructive feedback, and comprehensive development planning.
  • Support critical onboarding initiatives and culture-based learning content, specifically tied to the fundamental principles of the “Kairos Way” and our established leadership competencies.
  • Conduct thorough research on emerging learning trends and best practices, and actively assist in translating these insights into practical, usable tools for our organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, Business, or a closely related field.
  • Comfort and adaptability when working with ambiguity and a strong willingness to learn in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated alignment with a mission-driven, high-accountability culture.
  • A clear, demonstrated interest in understanding how people learn and change behavior within a professional work setting.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with learning platforms, content creation tools, or facilitation.
  • Strong analytical, research, or data interpretation skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, coupled with high attention to detail and the proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting, for prolonged periods.

Additional Requirements

  • Overtime may be required occasionally.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $26 for employees working onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters. The provided range represents the typical or starting rate for candidates hired in California. Factors influencing your actual salary may include education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, market data for your work location, and a comparison to existing employees in similar roles.
