Research Intern Opportunities for UMass Lowell Students

Commitment: 1-10 hours/week, 6 months – 1 year assignments

About the Role:

As a Student Intern at our May Center School in Wilmington, you will become an essential part of our mission to support individuals aged 3-21 with Autism and developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and aspirations. This role offers a unique chance to:

  • Learn Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Gain valuable insights into the methods and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as applied in a real-world setting to support individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Assist with Data Collection: Play a crucial role in ongoing research protocols by assisting with the collection of primary data.
  • Ensure Research Integrity: Partner closely with our experienced staff and researchers to collect vital fidelity and reliability measures, ensuring the quality and accuracy of our research.
  • Impact Lives: Directly contribute to research aimed at improving the lives of children and adolescents with Autism and other developmental disabilities.

We are looking for individuals who possess a blend of specific qualifications and valuable personal qualities:

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older to be eligible.
  • Education: Currently enrolled at UMass Lowell.
  • Availability: Must be available to be scheduled as needed Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
