Bachelor of Social Work Internship
NYAP OhioRise Case Management Internship: Dayton, OH
National Youth Advocate Program is accepting internship applications for the Summer, 2026 and Fall, 2026 to our OhioRise Team in Dayton. In this role you will get hands-on experience working with our OhioRise clients.
This opportunity is for students enrolled in a Bachelor of Social Work Program in an accredited College or University.
Applications will be accepted through 02/23/2026.
Your Internship Experience may include:
- Working with outpatient mental health clients in the community, in the office/school setting/community based.
- Assisting with Intake team and outreach to new families.
- Learning CANS Assessments.
- Assisting with Program Development.
- Working in case management.
- Learning diagnostics assessments and treatment plans.
- Assessing and engaging with youth.
- Observing interventions for youth.
- Interacting with caregivers, parents, foster parents, school staff, office staff and other mental health professionals.
- Learning documentation and paperwork.
- Traveling daily, to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Social Work Program in an accredited College or University.
- Must be willing to travel when needed throughout the following counties: Allen, Auglaize, Logan, Hardin, Shelby, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Madison, Miami and Greene.
- Must be 21 years of age at the start of the internship.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
Driving And Vehicle Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Good driving record.
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
