The Role: Plant Accounting Intern

PIM Brands, Inc. is actively seeking a bright and eager Plant Accounting Intern to join our team in Somerset, NJ, for the Summer 2026 program. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounting student interested in launching a career within a leading consumer goods company.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Plant Accounting Intern, you will gain practical experience by performing a variety of accounting tasks, including:
• Prepare journal entries for month-end close.
• Perform variance analysis on selected accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Review purchase requisitions for proper GL coding.
• Verify journal mapping for SAP upgrade.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
• Currently a rising senior at a college/university.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Strong business acumen and analytical ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a bias for action.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated personal and professional values.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong business acumen and analytical ability.
• Must have access to local housing and reliable transportation for the Somerset, NJ location.
• Ability to commit to the 10-week summer program, working a 40-hour week.
• Program Dates: Beginning June 1st, 2026 through at least August 7th, 2026.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 — $21.00 per hour. PIM Brands takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

• Worksite: The PIM Brands Manufacturing Site is located in Somerset, New Jersey.
• Work Schedule: This internship requires working on-site, Monday through Friday.
• Dress Code: Business casual.
