Job Title: Team Six Shop Leadership Intern

Overview:

As a Team Six Shop Leadership Intern, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient operation and success of the Team Six Shop. This position involves comprehensive oversight of daily operations, encompassing critical responsibilities such as advanced inventory management and precise transaction handling. A key aspect of this role is the development and training of Team Six Shop team members, ensuring high standards of performance and service. You will be responsible for continuous monitoring of the location’s daily functions to maintain operational excellence and compliance. Ultimately, your contribution will be instrumental in providing an enhanced and positive team member experience for the entire park, aligning with Six Flags’ commitment to its staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a welcoming and professional environment by consistently greeting team members with a friendly and supportive demeanor.
  • Maintain impeccable shop presentation and cleanliness, ensuring an organized, professional, and appealing environment at all times.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of all departmental uniform requirements and procurement procedures to guide team members accurately.
  • Conduct regular audits of locker room inventory to ensure accurate unit counts and availability for team members.
  • Oversee and assist in the laundering and maintenance of essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Maintenance and Food & Beverage departments, ensuring availability and hygiene.
  • Execute robust inventory control protocols, encompassing diligent monitoring of stock levels, accurate ordering, receiving, and rotation of products to prevent shortages and waste.
  • Support the meticulous completion and organization of all departmental administrative paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive team member proficiency and growth through structured on-the-job training programs and ongoing follow-up, covering all aspects of shop operations and customer service.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills, efficiently managing multiple priorities and completing all assigned tasks within established deadlines.
  • Actively contribute to cultivating a high-morale, positive, and productive work environment through supportive leadership and proactive engagement.
  • Provide constructive coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations to team members, fostering continuous improvement and adherence to standards.
  • Administer appropriate corrective action for attendance discrepancies, cash over/shorts, or performance issues, in accordance with company policy.
  • Strategically coordinate team member break schedules to ensure compliance with Six Flags policies while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and verify the diligent completion of all opening and closing procedures and checklists, ensuring operational readiness and secure closure.
  • Strictly adhere to and enforce all park attendance policies as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
  • Assume full responsibility for the consistent enforcement of all Park and Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and assistance to other retail locations within the park as operational needs dictate.
  • Proactively generate and communicate constructive feedback and innovative ideas for operational and experiential improvements to upper management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all pertinent operational information and incidents to full-time leadership.
  • Execute all delegated tasks and directives from full-time leadership with precision and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
  • Ability to commit to a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with park operational demands.
  • Comfortable and willing to work in various outdoor weather conditions, demonstrating adaptability.
  • Possess a professional demeanor, strong self-motivation, exceptional multi-tasking capabilities, and an enthusiastic, service-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork and collaborative skills, with the ability to effectively interact and cooperate with diverse individuals.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel), and the aptitude to comprehend and navigate database systems.
  • Highly organized and meticulously detail-oriented, maintaining a consistently professional attitude.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 6 hours continuously.
