A core component of this internship culminates in a final project presentation to the finance team, leadership team, and primary stakeholders, showcasing your findings and their impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting & Dashboard Development: Gain proficiency in multiple reporting platforms, with a focus on developing new and enhancing existing Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators and support data-driven insights.
• Data Assembly & Analysis: Assist in assembling comprehensive data sets crucial for various business functions, including detailed category reviews, to inform merchandising and procurement decisions.
• Presentation Support: Contribute to the creation of compelling business presentations by gathering and organizing essential materials and data visualizations.
• Strategic Insight Generation: Learn firsthand how analytical insights are translated into actionable recommendations that directly influence strategic decision-making across the organization.
• Business Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of the Lowes Foods business model and culture, appreciating the integral role of data analytics in the competitive retail grocery industry.

Internship Project & Presentation:

A central element of your internship will be a dedicated project, where you will:

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to dissect and analyze key business initiatives.
• Gather critical information and meticulously analyze relevant data to uncover trends and patterns.
• Report key insights derived from your analysis, providing clear, data-backed findings.
• Conclude your internship by delivering a comprehensive end-of-internship project presentation to the leadership team, finance team, and primary stakeholders, articulating your project’s results and strategic implications.

Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Prior experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI is preferred.
• Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Possess sharp critical thinking skills and an exceptional attention to detail, essential for accurate data analysis and reporting.
