Job Title: Intern (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning – HVAC)

Job Summary:
As an HVAC Intern, you will perform critical inspections and cleaning services for both gas heating (including decorative gas heating equipment) and electric air conditioning equipment. Your primary goal is to ensure safe, efficient operation and code compliance, all while delivering superior customer service. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and decontaminating ductwork within HVAC systems to maintain safe and efficient operation.
Essential Functions:
- Operate and maintain company vehicles safely.
- Maintain the condition of tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
- Complete necessary record-keeping functions to maintain accurate information.
- Resolve customer complaints and inquiries effectively to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Promote and accept accountability for providing superior customer satisfaction.
- Actively engage in selling Home Service Plus products and services (e.g., Service Plus Repair Plans, Options, Product sales referrals) to customers.
- Maintain professional working relationships with both internal and external customers.
Education Requirements:
Requires successful completion of a 1-year program (minimum 2 semesters or 3 quarters) in an accredited educational institution in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
Experience Requirements:
No prior work experience is required for this internship position.

Compensation:
Hourly Compensation Rate: $28.18
This hourly compensation is specific to Minnesota and reflects the pay rate negotiated in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. CenterPoint Energy provides a good faith estimate of the starting fixed pay rate as required by Minnesota law.
