Scope of Position: Finance Development Program (FDP) Summer Internship

This summer internship offers a rich, hands-on learning experience within Corning’s Finance organization. Interns will live, work, and immerse themselves in the communities where Corning operates, while actively building essential on-the-job skills.

You will be expected to deliver results against our business and financial objectives, applying your knowledge and practices both independently and as part of a team. Working closely with a supervisor, you will gain valuable work experience, interacting with key technologies, subject matter experts, and leaders across the company. The primary purpose of the Finance Intern Program is to elevate our talent pipeline by strengthening our pool for immediate and future entry-level roles.

Requirements:

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

Education:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in: Accounting, Economics, and/or Finance or equivalent.
• Pursuing a Master’s degree in a related area is desirable but not required.
Certifications: Desirable (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.).
Six Sigma: Green belt/Black belt certification is a plus.
Knowledge/Experience: Completion of accounting and auditing courses and/or demonstrated working knowledge of and experience in these areas.
GPA: Minimum 3.5 GPA.
Availability: Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May 27th – July 31st, 2026).
Graduation Date: Must have a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
Career Interest: Be interested in working for Corning, Inc. after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
Work Location: Willingness to work at the posted job location.

Technical Skills:

Candidates should possess a strong foundation in relevant technical skills:

Data Analytics Software: Experience with ACL, IDEA, etc. is desired.
ERP Systems: PeopleSoft and/or SAP experience is desired.
Cost Accounting: Cost accounting/manufacturing experience is desired.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills; proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint is required.
Regulatory Knowledge: Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge is required.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this internship position is $1,635.00 – $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, the nature of the position, and the intern’s year in school.
