About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Platform team, you will be a pivotal player in designing, building, and maintaining the highly scalable, reliable, and performant backend systems that underpin our entire ecosystem. What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs using modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java) and cutting-edge frameworks.
• Architect, develop, and optimize core components of our platform, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and exceptional performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex requirements into elegant and efficient technical solutions.
• Dive deep into complex technical challenges related to distributed systems, data consistency, latency reduction, and system reliability.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance, conducting thorough code reviews, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.
• Champion best practices in software development, including testing, documentation, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the stability and availability of our critical services, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Contribute to the evolution of our architectural standards, development processes, and tooling to enhance team productivity and system quality.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on building and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Expertise in at least one modern backend language such as Go, Python, Java, or C#, coupled with a deep understanding of its ecosystem and best practices.
• Profound understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and extensive experience with their core services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Kubernetes, DynamoDB, Pub/Sub).
• Proven experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design principles, and microservices architecture.
• Demonstrable experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
