About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-performance applications that power our core product offerings. You will take ownership of features from conception to production, contributing significantly to both front-end user experiences and back-end system architecture. This position requires a strong technical leader who can mentor junior engineers, drive best practices, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of our full-stack applications.
- Design and implement complex features for both user-facing interfaces using modern front-end frameworks and robust, scalable backend services.
- Contribute significantly to architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with company-wide technical strategy.
- Write clean, well-tested, and efficient code, adhering to best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and QA Engineers to translate business requirements and user stories into technical specifications and deliver impactful features.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the entire stack, optimizing application performance and ensuring system reliability.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and practices to enhance our development processes and product capabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed to support critical production systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Back-end Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern back-end language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, Go).
- Extensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Front-end Expertise:
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and associated tooling.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Vuex) and front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite).
- Architectural & Design:
- Proven ability to design scalable, robust, and secure distributed systems.
- Familiarity with design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience (Bonus Points):
- Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client/Server.
- Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipeline setup and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with performance optimization and monitoring tools.
- Active contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
- Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role within an engineering team.
