Job Title: Junior Engineer – AIM Program

Role Summary

AUTOSOL is seeking a Junior Engineer to join our AIM Program (AUTOSOL Industrial Mentorship), a structured early-career development program meticulously designed to prepare promising engineers for long-term, impactful careers in SCADA, automation, and industrial software.

As a Junior Engineer, you will actively support live SCADA projects under the direct guidance of experienced engineers. This role integrates formal training, one-on-one mentorship, and extensive hands-on learning. Your specific placement within the organization (which could be in Application Engineering, SCADA Integration, Communications, or Software Support) will be strategically determined based on both business needs and your individual interests and skills.

This position is perfectly suited for recent graduates or early-career engineers who demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn, contribute meaningfully, and grow into pivotal customer-facing technical roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support for SCADA and industrial automation projects under expert supervision.
  • Execute assigned engineering tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Tag creation and configuration.
    • Basic scripting and logic updates.
    • System testing and validation.
    • Documentation and diagram updates.
  • Actively participate in structured training sessions and internal workshops.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of common SCADA tools, architectures, and communication protocols.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and system verification processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior engineers and broader project teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tools and documentation.

Training & Career Development (AIM Program)

Junior Engineers enrolled in the AIM Program receive a robust development package, including:

  • Structured onboarding and comprehensive technical training.
  • Dedicated one-on-one mentorship from experienced engineers.
  • Extensive hands-on project experience with real customer systems.
  • Valuable exposure to multiple industries, notably Oil & Gas and Utilities.
  • Support toward achieving relevant certifications and crucial skill development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong interest in automation, SCADA, or industrial systems.
  • Basic understanding of programming, networking, or control systems concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred (not Required):

  • Exposure to SCADA platforms, PLCs, RTUs, or industrial protocols.
  • Basic scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, Java, SQL, or similar).
  • Internship, lab, or project experience specifically in automation or software.
  • Interest in customer-facing technical roles.
