About the Company
Fernwey is an early-stage investment companion that operates as both an IMessage app and a web application. Their mission is to assist retail investors by transforming abstract financial ideas into clear, actionable strategies. They provide users with real-time alerts enriched with context and simplify complex financial news, removing jargon for easier understanding. Currently, Fernwey is in its initial phase, actively testing with its first users, and is seeking someone to help articulate and spread their story.
Job Description
This role involves a dynamic mix of design, content creation, social media management, and marketing within an early-stage startup environment. You will work directly with the founders, with your creative output having a wide reach across various company initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Content Design: Create diverse social content, including posts, videos, and product demonstrations, specifically tailored for platforms such as LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Social Media Management: Actively manage the company’s social media presence and strategically build engagement within fintech and startup communities.
• Marketing Material Creation: Develop various marketing materials, including feature posters, user testimonials, and assets for marketing campaigns.
• Web & Product Design: Design engaging web pages and compelling product screenshots that effectively showcase Fernwey’s functionalities and value proposition.
• Community Engagement: Assist with organizing and participating in campus activities, competitions, and broader community events.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor the effectiveness of content and campaigns, facilitating rapid iteration based on performance data.
• Your designs will be highly visible, contributing to crucial elements such as investor decks, user onboarding experiences, and potentially viral posts.
Required Skills and Experience (Must have):
• A strong and diverse design portfolio, demonstrating proficiency with tools like Figma, Adobe Suite, or similar software.
• A clear understanding of various social media platforms and an intuitive grasp of what content performs well on each.
• Competence in video editing skills, with basic motion graphics capabilities being a distinct advantage.
• The ability to move fast, adapt quickly, and demonstrate strong independent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent writing skills, particularly the capacity to simplify and explain complex financial concepts in an accessible manner.
Preferred Skills and Experience (Nice to have):
• A genuine interest in investing or fintech, or a strong willingness to learn rapidly within these domains.
• Prior startup experience.
• Active participation in online communities such as ProductHunt, Indie Hackers, etc.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
