Job Description: Materials Engineering/Materials Science Intern
About The Role:
As a Materials Engineering/Materials Science Intern at Honeywell, you will receive hands-on experience in the field of materials engineering. This role offers the chance to contribute to cutting-edge projects, working alongside a team of experts to develop and advance materials essential to Honeywell’s products. The internship provides valuable insights into materials development, innovation, and the practical application of materials in real-world scenarios.
This internship is structured as an on-site position, fostering close collaboration with the team and providing practical experience within a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities (In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To):
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of advanced materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate materials effectively into Honeywell’s products.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify new materials and emerging technologies.
• Support materials testing and characterization activities.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in materials science and recommend their incorporation into product development.
Location:
This position is available in multiple locations across the United States. The precise worksite location will be determined based on business requirements, as well as the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
Compensation:
The hourly base pay range for this internship is $20.00/hr – $42.00/hr. This range serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, and prevailing market and business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Material Science, Material Engineering, or a similar field.
• Must be projected to graduate December 2026 or later.
• Must continue enrollment in a degree program upon completion of the internship.
• Demonstrated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher).
• Candidates must be authorized to legally work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements; Honeywell is unable to consider applicants who would require current or future sponsorship for employment authorization for this position.
