About the Job: Intern Position
This intern position is designed to provide comprehensive support to both project management and superintendent teams within Grunley’s construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
The intern will be involved in a wide array of tasks crucial to project execution and oversight, including:
• Meeting & Documentation:
• Attending project meetings and accurately recording minutes.
• Site Management & Monitoring:
• Surveying and laying out job sites.
• Verifying field dimensions for accuracy.
• Regularly walking job sites to monitor progress.
• Monitoring the project for unsafe conditions, contributing to site safety.
• Taking site-work progress photos to document milestones.
• Preparing daily reports and documenting manpower counts.
• Updating record drawings to reflect changes and progress.
• Technical & Administrative Support:
• Preparing, reviewing, and marking up submittals and shop drawings.
• Preparing work plans and outage requests.
• Assisting with subcontractor coordination.
• Assisting with CPM (Critical Path Method) schedule updates.
• Assisting with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) submittals and tracking.
• Processing RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Procuring and tracking materials.
• Financial & Procurement Assistance:
• Assisting with subcontractor buy-out processes.
• Assisting with estimating take-offs.
• Assisting with cost proposal preparation.
• Professional Development:
• Attending company training seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
• Required Education: Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Hourly Rate: The hourly rate for this role ranges from $21.00 to $25.00.
• Housing: A housing allowance will be considered for eligible interns.
