The Role Details:

Interns will be placed in roles that offer a variety of assignments related to their major. The program specifically targets students majoring in Engineering Bachelor or Master’s Degree Programs, including but not limited to Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Nuclear, Systems, Structural, Civil, and Computer Engineering.

Physical Requirements: Some engineering, technical, and waterfront positions may necessitate the ability to physically access various work sites, including those aboard ships undergoing construction or overhaul. This may involve using vertical and inclined ladders and limited activities such as kneeling, stooping, and standing.

Qualifications (“Must Have”):

To qualify for the 2026 Summer Internship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a 4-year college/university (or 2+2 program) or master’s degree program for Fall 2026.
Accreditation: Engineering majors must be from ABET-accredited programs.
GPA: A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
Transcripts: Unofficial transcripts are required at the time of application. Failure to upload transcripts will result in automatic disqualification.
