This detailed description outlines the role and expectations for a Wealth Management Intern within BMO Financial Group’s campus program.

Program Overview:
As a BMO intern, individuals are provided with an opportunity to have their voices heard, continuously grow, and make a tangible difference. The campus program is designed to equip interns with the essential skills and knowledge required to transition into roles similar to those described.

Role Summary:
The Wealth Management Intern at BMO will contribute to meaningful projects, expand their understanding of BMO’s business operations, and develop professional skills crucial for future success.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Program & Project Support:
• Supports the management and execution of assigned business/group programs or projects, including providing input to their design, development, and execution.
• Aids in the execution of program components, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for effective and seamless delivery.
• Participates in the design, development, implementation, and management of core program processes.
• Provides input to program strategy by analyzing current operations, challenges, researching best practices, and understanding industry trends.
• Supports the management of the program/project, including developing program components, promoting the program, and ensuring the execution of all program components.
• Supports the investigation, analysis, and documentation of program risks.
Problem Solving & Recommendations:
• Develops solutions and provides recommendations based on a thorough understanding of business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations for the program.
• Breaks down strategic problems, analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
• Provides advice and guidance to the assigned business/group on the implementation of solutions.
• Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
• Monitors and tracks performance, addressing any issues that arise.
• Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness (e.g., customized exception reports, initiative tracking reports).
• Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Supports the execution of strategic initiatives, including tracking metrics and milestones.
• Tracks exception requests and corresponding approvals.
Communication & Change Management:
• Leads or participates in defining communication plans to positively influence or change behavior; develops tailored messaging; and identifies appropriate distribution channels.
• Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in various change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
• Communicates and reinforces program principles, strategies, processes, and standards in all operational activities.
• Supports change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.
• Supports the development of tailored messaging, which may include writing, editing, and distributing communications.
Work Style & Approach:

Qualifications:

Education: Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, with a projected graduation between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
Academic Performance: A preferred minimum GPA of 3.2/4.0.
Knowledge/Experience: Specialized knowledge derived from education and/or prior related internship experiences.

Salary and Compensation:

Pay Range: $49,500.00 – $91,300.00
Pay Type: Salaried
Factors Influencing Salary: Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role. Part-time roles will have salaries pro-rated based on hours worked.
