Job Description

This is an internship opportunity within the Business Services Career Area at Barge Design Solutions, specifically tailored for hard-working and dedicated college students seeking valuable work experience and mentorship.

Role: College Intern
Location: Peachtree Corners, GA (Gwinnett County)
Number of Positions: 1
Schedule: Summer 2026, part-time hours (~25 hours) per week.
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days from home).
Compensation: This is a paid internship.
Benefits: Interns are not eligible for company benefits, and housing assistance is not provided.

Types of Projects You Will Be Involved In:

1. New Employee Record Entries: Accurately populate employee details in the Salesforce CRM database using HR data received via emailed forms and resumes.
2. Employee Record Updates: Enter new and updated information related to employee licenses, registrations, and training records as received through employee emails into Salesforce.
3. Reports and Dashboards: Assist in the creation of various reports and the construction of dashboards (charts based on collections of reports) as required.
4. Marketing Proposal Support:
• Aid the marketing team in preparing resume and project examples for proposals, which will involve utilizing data from Salesforce, employing an AI Bot, and potentially writing Salesforce reports.
• Assist with proposal close-out duties, including updating Salesforce Pursuit outcome data, ensuring the Marketing file number is correctly attached to the Salesforce Pursuit record, and verifying that all staff and project descriptions are accurately shown on the relevant Salesforce records.
5. Data Integration between Multiple Systems: Gain exposure to the weekly process of extracting Excel .csv reports from Barge’s BST10 database, transforming the data to meet Salesforce requirements, and mapping an upload tool to import that data into Salesforce. There is potential for routine uploads to be delegated to the intern after a few weeks of practice, provided they demonstrate enjoyment and good performance under supervision.

• Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce Database Structure and Data Entry.
• Practical experience in Database Management, including the export/import processes between two different programs (BST10 and Salesforce).
• Insight into Marketing Proposal procedures.
• Skills in collaborating with team members on new ideas and innovations.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Preferred majors include Data Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, Languages, among others.
• Preference will be given to students who do not require sponsorship.
• A current GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
