### About the Job: Management & Sales Internship

This is a paid, 10-12-week summer program designed to offer a hands-on, comprehensive learning experience within Sherwin-Williams’ retail stores. The internship provides practical insights into various facets of the business.

Detailed Job Description:

Program Focus: The internship immerses participants in management, sales, and store operations, focusing on meaningful customer experiences.
Learning Experience: Interns gain practical business-to-business (B2B) and retail experience by working directly in a paint store.
Outside Sales Exposure: A significant component involves traveling with a Sales Representative to gain insight into a career in outside sales.
Management Mentorship: Interns will spend structured time with their management team to learn about leadership and operational oversight.
Business Project: Interns will collaborate with peers and leadership support to complete a project addressing critical business issues.
Professional Learning Areas: The program is structured to provide learning in:
Sales
Marketing/Promotions
Merchandising
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Business Management
Career Progression: Upon successful completion, interns are strongly encouraged to apply to the full-time Management & Sales Training Program (“MTP”) to further their careers with Sherwin-Williams.
Eligibility Note for MTP: College graduates are not eligible for this internship but are encouraged to apply directly to the Management and Sales Training Program (MTP).

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Age: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for an employment work visa status now or in the future.
Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program.
Physical Ability: Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
Availability: Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Driver’s License: Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
Teamwork Experience: Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting (e.g., work experience, extracurricular activities, military service).
Multilingualism: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
Spanish Proficiency: Specifically, the ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
Academic Standing: Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program.
