Job Description: 2026 Accounting Intern (Job Number 333875)
This is a full-time, onsite Accounting Intern position for the year 2026, located in Augusta, Georgia. The role falls under the Finance/Accounting job field and is an Individual Contributor level position, operating on a First Shift schedule.
Responsibilities
The intern will gain valuable experience and insight into various aspects of business, including:
• Business processes
• Budgeting
• Development of business analysis and reporting
The role involves assisting members of the accounting department with both daily activities and special projects. Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring compliance in invoicing processes.
• Supporting the flow of documentation for accounts payable and accounts receivable for business units.
• Assisting in managing and tracking daily cash results to ensure alignment with forecast and AOP (Annual Operating Plan) metrics.
• Working in cross-functional teams to assign asset tags to missing assets.
• Analyzing monthly performance against the forecast and budget for responsible areas.
• Maintaining, supporting, and actively participating in internal control requirements, while also ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Completing asset information within a fixed asset module to ensure accurate tax schedules and reports for year-end.
• Researching and mapping accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and recommending improvements.
Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Education: Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• GPA: A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Skills: Strong analytical and data mining skills are required.
• Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to change and navigate ambiguous situations.
