Job Description (Sales Internship Program)

This is a Full-time Sales Internship Program within Gallo’s Field work category, with Job Req ID: 106323.

Compensation: $21.50 – $23.50 per hour. Actual compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data, and may be eligible for bonuses or incentives.
Duration: 6-8 weeks, typically from June to August.

Program Overview:
Gallo’s Sales Internship Program is an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals to immerse themselves in a dynamic Sales organization. This unique program offers hands-on experience through job shadowing and training across various roles and projects. Interns will engage with different facets of the business, collaborate with management, and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The program is designed to nurture future leaders within a diverse and inclusive environment.

A Taste of What You’ll Do (Rotational Experience):
Interns will rotate through key commercial assignments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the sales operation:
1. Field Sales Representative: Gain insights into retail sales, merchandising, and management techniques.
2. Market Development Manager: Understand brand objectives and training roles.
3. Business Intelligence Manager: Explore strategic business facets, including new product launches and pricing strategies.
4. Other Areas: Opportunities to learn from managers in Spirits, Fine Wine, and Shopper Marketing.

The internship culminates in completing a project tailored to the intern’s interests, which will then be presented to the management team, showcasing findings and solutions. This experience is focused on making a tangible impact.

Locations:
The internship is offered in multiple locations, including Chicago, Boston, Tampa, New Jersey, DC, Charlotte, New York, Minnesota, Indiana, California, Detroit, New Hampshire, and Dallas.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications):
• Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree; OR have already obtained a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and a reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. A motor vehicle check (MVR) will be conducted. If needed, the appropriate state driver’s license must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Required to be 21 years of age or older (due to the nature of the alcohol beverage industry).
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to perform job duties within the assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may also be required.
• Required to be 18 years or older (general employment age, in addition to the 21+ requirement specific to this role).
