Job Description

This is a paid 10-week Internship program designed for college sophomores, with a focus on the insurance industry.

About the Program:
The program offers an intensive introduction to the insurance industry. It features:
• Training
• Classroom education
• Mentorship
• Networking opportunities
• Real-world work experience
• A capstone project

Interns will rotate through critical business functions to gain a comprehensive understanding of a large, global (re)insurer’s transformative capabilities. This experience aims to help interns discover how their interests and skillsets align with various career paths within the industry.

About the Role:
Interns will actively participate in all aspects of the program, including:
• Training sessions
• Classroom education
• Mentorship initiatives
• Networking events
• Gaining real-world experience
• Completing a capstone project
They will rotate through key business functions to grasp the operations of a global (re)insurer. The role encourages interns to discover potential career paths and to contribute fresh perspectives that can impact the insurance industry. Interns will be exposed to various areas across Arch, which may include, but is not limited to:
• Insurance (Distribution, Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims)
• Underwriting Operations
• Process Excellence
• Branding & Communication
• Analytics
• Human Resources
• Information Technology
• Strategic Analytics
• Legal
• Real Estate
The objective is to learn how these business functions drive efficiency, enable innovation, and promote change within the organization.

Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in Business or Communications.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be a current Sophomore student in college, with anticipated graduation dates ranging from December 2027 to May 2028.
• Demonstrate an interest in the transformative operations of a global specialty insurance business.
• Ability to showcase the value of inclusivity, teamwork, and mutual support.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for continuous learning.
• Be a team player who can collaborate effectively.
• Be a self-starter capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks/priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
