Job Description: Audit Winter 2026 Internship – Charlotte, NC
This is an exciting Audit Winter Internship opportunity based in the Charlotte, NC office, running from January to March 2026 (end date may vary). The role is designed for students seeking to become familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and perform them according to firm standards.
Your Team:
Interns will work closely within an engagement team comprising other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. Interns will be supported by a Performance Coach for goal setting, feedback, and career guidance, and a CR Friend to provide initial support and a familiar face.
Industries Served (varies by office/team):
The firm serves a diverse range of clients across industries including: Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
As an Audit Winter Intern, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Becoming familiar with accounting and auditing procedures.
• Performing procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
• Working on various aspects of an audit engagement, such as cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
• Assisting with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Participating in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients.
• Assisting the team with daily client workflow.
Your Experience & Qualifications:
CohnReznick is looking for dedicated students who are driven by new challenges, value collaboration, and are interested in diverse industries. Successful candidates will possess:
• Academic Pursuits: Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA Track: Planning to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 and September 2027 to be eligible for CPA licensure.
• GPA: A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall studies.
• Coursework: Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Work Authorization: Must provide proof of work authorization, such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.
Desired Skills & Traits:
• Communication: Excellent communication skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Adaptability: Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Prior Experience: Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
